2007 Interns gaining experience
with the Administrative side of
Commercial Construction.

CPM has been attending Career Fairs at both Purdue and Ball State Universities to identify potential future associates and to share "Real World" experiences with students contemplating careers in construction.

Recent interns were exposed to a broad range of field experience from hands-on selective demolition to actually serving briefly as superintendent on a limited scope build-out (with oversight of experienced mentors). Administrative experiences have included hands-on critical path computer scheduling of actual projects with input from CPM Associates, archive filing and retrieval, subcontractor prequalification, identification of safety concerns from jobsite photos on CD and locating the specific reference in the OSHA Standards pertaining to the concern, permit acquisition, attending pre-construction meetings, draw meetings, and punch list walk-throughs, preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals, and a myriad of other experiences assigned under the direction of project managers, estimators, and administrative staff.

CPM cooperates with faculty Internship Directors and the students in establishing Learning Contract Goals, as well as offering employer evaluations of the students at the conclusion of the program.
